I was born and raised in Pickaway County and while in High School, I worked in the farm market running the cash register and helping customers. After High School I chose The Ohio State University for schooling, where I graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in marketing. I am an Ohio Certified Nursery and Landscape Technician in our Garden Center operation.

Serving as the Marketing & General Manager of the Retail Garden Center, I take great pride in reaching out to our customers and servicing their needs. I have a passion for plants and look forward to helping you in my Garden Center.

How did I end up in the garden center business, I'm not sure, but I guess you could say that it grew on me! (No pun intended!) I began working at Rhoads while in High School, and returned to Rhoads after graduating from The Ohio State University with a B.S. in Business Administration and became the Store Manager & Visual Merchandiser. I spend a lot of time outdoors in the Spring or Summer either working in the yard or enjoying the pool

Deanna Strickland
Garden Center Manager

I started working for Rhoads on the produce side of things and at the weekend farmer's markets, but spend most of my time in the garden center now as the Tree and Shrub Manager. While living in Florida for 20 years, I opened my own little nursery and specialized in Tropical plants. We moved to this area in the 90's, then soon started at Rhoads. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my dog Blue, and like walking and spending time on our farm.

I was born and raised in Pickaway County and attended The Ohio State University and graduated with a B.S. in Landscape Architecture in 1996. While finishing my junior year, I started working at Rhoads doing landscape designs and helping out in various departments. I came to work full time for Rhoads Landscaping in 1996. I am now managing the landscape department full time. In the Fall & Winter I love to hunt, and love to fish Spring & Summer.

Brett Rhoads

I was born 1979 in Circleville and have lived in the area ever since. I received my diploma from Logan Elm H.S. in 1997 and then attended The Ohio State University. At O.S.U. I received my B.S. in horticulture and crop science and with an agricultural economics minor. Currently, I am an Alumni of the Ohio State LEAD program; dedicated to enhancing agricultural leadership.

I have always had an interest in farming particularly in fruit and vegetable production and now most recently in the growing of nursery stock. Today I oversee the day to day operations of our farm/nursery with the help of our great staff. In my division of Rhoads we grow a wide array of fresh produce that is sold mostly wholesale to other retail outlets along with our garden center. Split Rail Nursery (our wholesale tree division) sends most of its goods to the North central and North East parts of the country.
